Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
